Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 2 Tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 lb tofu, crumbled (Heiwa tofu is the best!)
- 8 oz package Tootie's Tempeh, crumbled
- 3 Tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- Cilantro or scallions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large cast iron pan, heat 2 Tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Add crumbled tempeh and tofu. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently.
- When getting browned and a little crispy, reduce heat to medium-low, push crumble to the side to make a space on the bottom of the pan. Add the remaining 1 Tbsp oil and the ginger and garlic, saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Mix the garlic and ginger in with the crispy crumble, add the tamari and cook for another minute or two.
- Serve with cilantro, peanuts or scallions (or all three!) sprinkled on top, and your favorite veggies.
