Tempeh Breakfast Sausages

Want a nutritious and filling breakfast or brunch? These tempeh breakfast sausage patties are simple to make and so tasty! And as a bonus they are both oil and salt free!

Ingredients

  • 1 (8oz) Tootie’s Tempeh (broken up)
  • 2 TBSP maple syrup
  • 2 TBSP flour (we used gluten-free)
  • 2 TBSP vegetable broth
  • 1 TBSP miso paste
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1⁄2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1⁄4 tsp black pepper
  • 1⁄8 tsp crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Combine all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until everything is well combined.
  2. With your hands, shape the mix into similar sized balls and flatten them onto a silicon or parchment lined baking sheet, forming 6 to 8 patties. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through. We served with a Just Egg patty and ketchup. Enjoy!
