Tempeh Tacos

One of the best tempeh tacos we've had is by the award-winning Salsa Shack, formerly a food truck in Ellsworth, Maine and now a restaurant in Bucksport, Maine. They recently shared what makes it so good - their BBQ sauce! Use this marinade to transform your tempeh into savory tacos and beyond.

Ingredients

• 2 cups olive oil/blend
• 1 cup white vinegar
• 1 cup lime juice
• 2 TBSP chili powder
• 2 TBSP granulated garlic
• 2 TBSP cumin
• 2 TBSP salt
• 2 TBSP cilantro (dried or fresh)

Instructions

1. Use this ratio of marinade for 4 packets of tempeh and slices each cake into 6 pieces. Recommended marinating the tempeh overnight.
